3D Designs
Designing with 3D modeling software has become something I really enjoy. I have plenty of room for growth, yet I am still happy with all of the projects I have done.
Vader’s Castle
This project was one I had a very fun time with because of my love of Star Wars. Designing this castle was something that I thought would never be something I would be capable of at the time. I learned very quickly though that doubting myself was not going to get me anywhere. So I gave myself the goal of modeling and rendering the castle from reference images. All of the modeling was done freehand in Autodesk’s Maya and the renderings were produced in KeyShot. It was a great learning experience and led to me really enjoying the process of creating.
Personal Lightsaber
To continue with the Star Wars trend, I wanted to use a new software that I was learning, SHAP3R, to design a lightsaber that I plan on eventually fabricating myself. I used my self-taught practice of SHAP3R to create the design from scratch with production in mind. SHAP3R also has a built-in renderer that I used to plan out the final look of the model. It was a fantastic learning experience and makes me want to design more props like it.
